Oxymetholone is commonly known as Anadrol due to the first manufactured name of the steroid is derived from Dihydrotestosterone (DHT) and is a 17-Alpha-Alkylated steroid (17-aa). This 17-aa alteration allows it to survive ingestion by surviving the first pass through the liver. Without this 17-aa alteration the steroid would be destroyed before it ever entered the blood stream.

Indicated in the treatment of anemias caused by deficient red cell production. Acquired aplastic anemia, congenital aplastic anemia, myelofibrosis and the hypoplastic anemias due to the administration of myelotoxic drugs often respond.

It should not replace other supportive measures such as transfusion, correction of iron, folic acid, vitamin B12 or pyridoxine deficiency, antibacterial therapy and the appropriate use of corticosteroids.

Lower Oxymetholone doses are also great for cutting cycles, especially when someone is trying to prepare for a bodybuilding contest.

Most people observed, a dose of 25mg to 50mg of Oxymetholone producing great results. And, some people can opt to go for higher doses if they find their bodies tolerate these two standard doses with ease. There is not any problem with upping your dose to 75mg or even 100mg per day.

Most commonly as a 50mg oxymetholone tablet it is one of the strongest androgenic steroids available. Oxymetholone is highly effective in promoting extensive gains in body mass, despite very low binding affinity with the androgen receptor, mostly by greatly improving protein synthesis. Due to this reason, this is often used by bodybuilders and athletes.

Taking such a high dose 100mg Oxymetholone per day can lead to more side effects without increasing your mass gaining results as you may expect. Some research studies also suggest that increasing the dose to 100mg leads to reduced cravings, which can inhibit your development.
